Brex is seeking a Fraud Operations Associate to manage daily workflows related to transaction fraud, first-party fraud, and account takeovers. You will work at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and customer success to protect Brex's customers and the company.
In this role, you will own associate-level fraud operation queues and develop scalable operational processes for fraud management. You'll make risk-based decisions on high-value and high-risk transactions and account offboardings while working toward company-level goals around financial fraud losses.
Key responsibilities include case management (owning assigned queues, implementing scalable processes, making subjective risk decisions on transactions and account actions, and achieving fraud loss targets); case escalations and incident handling (responding to cross-functional escalations, streamlining fraud operational workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and closing inefficiency gaps); and project ownership (shipping projects from the Fraud Ops roadmap with autonomy, leveraging AI tools to enhance queues, and partnering with Policy, Data Science, and Engineering teams).
You will be the company expert in fraud operations with autonomy to drive down losses and improve internal efficiencies. As Brex scales, fraud pressure increases, and you'll be critical in containing losses and improving operational efficiencies by contributing to the evolution of AI tools.
The role is based in Brex's New York office with a hybrid model requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in-office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.
