Salary: CAD 76,800 - 96,000 / annual
Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter and move faster across 200+ markets. The Operations team owns credit, fraud, money movement, and payments, protecting customers and the company at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and customer success.
As a Fraud Operations Associate based in Vancouver, you will manage daily workflows related to transaction fraud, first-party fraud, and account takeovers. You'll serve as the company expert in fraud operations, driving down losses and improving internal efficiencies with significant autonomy.
Key responsibilities include:
Case Management: Own associate-level fraud queues, develop and implement scalable operational processes, make risk-based decisions on high-value/risk transactions and account offboardings, and achieve company-level goals around fraud losses.
Case Escalations & Incident Handling: Respond to cross-functional partners on fraud escalations, streamline fraud operational workflows around transaction and account investigations, and conduct root cause analysis on fraud incidents.
Project & Roadmap Ownership: Own and ship projects on the Fraud Ops roadmap with full autonomy, leverage AI tools to enhance queues and projects, and partner with Policy, Data Science, and Engineering teams to improve tooling and scale internal operations.
You'll work in a hybrid environment requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), with up to four weeks per year of fully remote work flexibility.
Required qualifications include previous management or team leader experience, strong communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. SQL knowledge is a bonus.
