Trebellar is an AI platform for corporate real estate that helps enterprise CRE teams consolidate fragmented lease, space, and occupancy data into a unified decision-making system. The company is backed by Blossom Capital and founded by experienced operators, building category-defining infrastructure for one of the largest and least-modernized categories of enterprise spend.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will embed directly with customers and work side by side with their data and engineering teams. You'll own data ingestion and analysis for customers, adapting to their complex and often unique needs. You will serve as the primary point of contact and bridge between customer technical teams and Trebellar's core engineering organization. Working closely with a Forward Deployed Consultant (who brings subject-matter expertise) and Trebellar's product team, you will scope, build, implement, and deliver features tailored to each customer's requirements.
This role demands strong communication skills and technical versatility. Each customer presents unique challenges that require creative problem-solving and deep technical understanding. You'll be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex datasets, debugging intricate scenarios, and ensuring smooth data flows at scale.
The ideal candidate is self-driven and comfortable with high ownership in a startup environment. You'll work as part of a team but are expected to demonstrate a high degree of self-sufficiency once goals are aligned. Your work will have visible impact and compound quickly within a small, high-context organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years specifically demonstrating data ingestion and manipulation (ETL, import/export, API design and implementation)
- Proven ability to understand, analyze, and debug complex datasets and scenarios
- Experience with high-volume data ingestion and processing, ideally both real-time and batch systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; you will be a key customer-facing contact
- Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with common JavaScript/TypeScript stacks
- Backend/API development skills with solid understanding of interacting with backend services
- Good understanding of common systems architecture for data processing
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and related DevOps technologies
