CarbonFarm is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge data science, engineering, and customer delivery. You will own technical scientific delivery end-to-end for customer missions, adapting pre-built models and data processing to each client's unique needs. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer-facing communication and product feedback loops.
You will work at the intersection of remote sensing data, agricultural data, and machine learning. Your responsibilities include:
- Adapt and deploy pre-built models and data processing pipelines to client-specific requirements
- Run and maintain customer workflows from data intake through final output
- Validate model outputs and investigate data or execution issues
- Work with Python, SQL, cloud systems, and ML pipelines
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to translate client needs into technical requirements
- Support reporting and communication of environmental outcomes across multiple concurrent customer projects
- Identify recurring delivery patterns that should be productized or improved
- Contribute to product improvements as delivery work reveals capability gaps
- Leverage AI tooling to drive rapid iteration with strong emphasis on technical accuracy
This is not a consulting role. You will work directly with data, code, and technical systems while bridging communication between a technical product and real-world client operations. You'll collaborate closely with operations, engineering, product, and R&D teams.
