Salary: USD 144,000 - 191,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Formulations Manager to lead the Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team's propellant formulation and manufacturing operations. The RMS team designs, develops, and manufactures next-generation solid rocket motors for defense and space applications.
In this role, you will lead a team of 3–5 formulators executing production, development, and research propellant programs. Key responsibilities include maintaining compliance with explosive sensitivity limits for safe scaleup and manufacture of solid propellant formulations, managing group budget and resource allocation, and creating new processes and procedures for a rapidly growing business line.
You will serve in an approval capacity for business-critical functions including statement of work accuracy, energetic operations safety board decisions, material acceptance and compatibility assessments, and capital expense approvals for facilities, equipment, and instrumentation.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; U.S. citizenship (required for access to export-controlled and sensitive data); ability to obtain a security clearance; demonstrated technical leadership and problem-solving skills; and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in rocket motor manufacture, composite propellants, and energetic materials, as well as an active DOD Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
