OpenLoop is a telehealth platform that powers virtual care delivery across all 50 states. The Formulary & Systems team owns the configuration that determines how every medication order flows through the platform—what products exist, at what dose and cadence, in which states, and to which pharmacy partner.
As Formulary & Systems Analyst II, you will translate approved clinical protocols and pharmacy-supplied product specifications into working configuration in OpenLoop's ordering platform. This role adds critical capacity to a team currently concentrated in one person managing roughly 5,000 SKUs with daily new builds across multiple service lines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure and test SKUs in the ordering platform (medication, strength, dose level, fill cadence) by translating clinical protocols and pharmacy specifications into platform values
- Configure titration schedules as defined by clinical protocols, ensuring each dose level maps to correct product, strength, and quantity
- Reconcile protocol requirements against actual pharmacy inventory; calculate unit and volume values when concentrations differ, escalating discrepancies to clinical or pharmacy teams
- Coordinate builds across dependent teams (Clinical, Implementation, pharmacy partners) to ensure nothing goes live half-configured
- Participate in project intake meetings, define build requirements, and own end-to-end delivery
- Prioritize and sequence concurrent builds and competing deadlines, escalating conflicts proactively
- Test configurations before activation and troubleshoot issues
- Execute state-by-state routing and volume-move changes per capacity and SLA guidance
- Support 50-state coverage by identifying and closing configuration gaps
- Monitor pharmacy integrations for errors and escalate systemic issues
- Surface platform issues to development team with clear detail and improvement suggestions
- Document and maintain build procedures
You are precise on repetitive work and notice when pieces are missing—you proactively loop in the right people rather than letting issues break downstream. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, demonstrated problem-solving, and the ability to manage concurrent deliverables with minimal oversight. You'll learn OpenLoop's proprietary system quickly and work confidently within it.
