True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. and allied space superiority. This Senior Production Engineer role owns the production engineering strategy and execution for propulsion and fluids hardware across multiple spacecraft programs. You will lead and mentor a team of production engineers while driving scalable manufacturing processes from concept through high-rate production. Key responsibilities include: leading and developing production engineering teams with technical guidance and performance management; owning production strategy to achieve cost, rate, and quality targets; driving technical reviews with design engineering to ensure manufacturability; setting up and scaling manufacturing capabilities for developmental and rate production; developing technical documentation and work instructions for fabrication, assembly, integration, and test; directly supporting production floor operations to resolve bottlenecks and technical issues; driving continuous improvements using production metrics; engaging with supply chain on vendor management and supplier qualification; and overseeing calibration and certification of ground support equipment and test equipment. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing, or related discipline; manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; hands-on experience with propulsion/fluid system fabrication, assembly, and testing (tube bending, welding, brazing, pressure vessel work, valve assembly, leak testing); experience with PLM, CAD, MES, and configuration management systems; AS9100 process and standards experience; and experience building and producing classified hardware in SCIFs or SAP facilities. Preferred experience includes design and manufacturing of propulsion components (turbomachinery, thrusters, valves, pressure tanks, combustion devices, feed systems, environmental control units) and expertise in manufacturing domains such as CNC machining, metal forming, additive manufacturing, tube cleaning and routing, mechanical assembly, or welding.
