Pyka is building autonomous electric aircraft for cargo transport and crop protection applications. The company designs and manufactures proprietary flight control software, avionics, high-power density motors, motor controllers, batteries, and custom carbon-fiber composite airframes. Pyka has secured industry-first FAA regulatory approvals and operates across four continents.
As a Flight Test Operator, you will be responsible for testing and scaling operations of Pyka's advanced autonomous aircraft. Your primary focus will be on testing new hardware and software features to ensure the success of customer operations globally. You will conduct continuous operation testing of Pyka's aircraft and ground infrastructure systems.
This is a multidisciplinary role requiring strong collaboration across internal teams. You will interact with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure flight test objectives are met and data is properly documented. Written and verbal communication skills are critical, as you will need to document test results, communicate findings to cross-functional teams, and potentially brief customers and regulatory bodies.
You will primarily operate at Pyka's California test sites, with potential international deployments to support customer operations as needed. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge autonomous aviation technology while contributing directly to the commercialization of electric aircraft for real-world applications in agriculture and logistics.
