Pyka is seeking a Flight Demo & Training Specialist to support the development and commercial deployment of its autonomous electric cargo aircraft. In this hybrid role based in Dixon, CA, you will coordinate demonstrations with defense and commercial partners, set up and execute missions to showcase aircraft capabilities in new environments, and provide comprehensive training and operational support to customers deploying Pyka's cargo aircraft.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating flight demonstrations with defense partners and commercial customers
- Planning and executing missions that showcase aircraft performance and capabilities
- Training customers on aircraft operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Supporting flight testing and evaluation activities
- Standardizing ground and flight operations procedures across deployments
- Developing and refining instructional techniques and training materials
- Providing feedback to inform product development and operational improvements
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols
After an initial two-month training period in Dixon, CA, you will spend approximately 20% of your time deployed for demonstrations, training, or flight testing activities. This multidisciplinary role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as you will interact with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Required qualifications include technical knowledge and preferably hands-on experience with flight operations, either with manned aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). An engineering degree is not required, but a solid understanding of aviation systems, flight dynamics, and operational procedures is essential. You should be comfortable with travel and field deployments, and able to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
