Meter builds enterprise networking as a service, designing, installing, and managing critical networking infrastructure for modern companies. The Fleet Partnerships role owns the partner and technician performance loop—ensuring installation partners consistently deliver high-quality network deployments at scale.
In this position, you will build deep relationships with Meter's global installation ecosystem (called Fleet) and create systems that enable partners to succeed. Your core responsibilities include:
**Performance Management & Accountability**
Run partner performance reviews and establish accountability structures that drive measurable outcomes: technicians achieving ≥95% on-time arrival, 100% documentation completeness, and <5% rework rates. Identify improvement plans when partners miss KPIs and maintain a live view of partner capacity against forecasted deployment volume.
**Capacity Planning & Commercial Negotiations**
Proactively negotiate capacity expansion with partners before bottlenecks emerge—managing named technician counts, rate structures, and capacity agreements. Lead commercial conversations on rates, commitments, and contract terms as partners scale with Meter.
**Partner Engagement & Incentives**
Design and launch recognition and incentive programs that motivate technicians to deliver exceptional work. Run recurring partner check-ins covering tactical execution and long-term business planning. Lead commercial onboarding for new partners entering the program.
**Systems & Cross-Functional Leadership**
Build dashboards, feedback loops, onboarding programs, and partner scorecards. Translate partner feedback into improvements with internal teams (Ops Engineering, Dispatch, Fleet Sourcing, Technician Operations, Distribution, Service Delivery). Advise Dispatch on partner capacity based on your commercial relationships and operational knowledge.
**Field Presence**
Expect 30-40% travel to run in-person meetings, support onboarding, and see technicians at work firsthand. Being on-site with partners and technicians is essential to building trust and raising the bar.
**Success Metrics (First Six Months)**
Technicians perform as an extension of Meter with consistent KPI achievement. Fleet capacity scales ahead of demand through proactive negotiation. Technicians are motivated to work on Meter projects through recognition programs. Partner feedback continuously improves deployment systems through structured scorecards and engagement cadence.
**Career Trajectory**
In year two, you could build the global performance system powering Meter's deployment network—from partner scorecards and technician certification to training programs. You may expand the installation partner ecosystem in new markets, manage Meter's most strategic partners, or influence the next generation of installer tooling and operational systems.
**Requirements**
The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, education, or formal certifications. However, the role requires: strong relationship-building skills combined with operational rigor; comfort with physical-world programs and field operations; ability to hold partners accountable while advocating for them internally; clear communication and trust-building with partners and internal teams; composure under pressure; vision for scaling systems that impact thousands of technicians and partners globally; and willingness to travel 30-40% internationally.
