Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 / annual
Landline is revolutionizing regional air travel by partnering with major airlines (American, Air Canada) to offer multimodal connections across North America. The company operates luxury motorcoaches as a faster, more sustainable alternative to short flights, reducing costs and addressing pilot shortages while enhancing passenger journeys.
As Fleet Manager, you will oversee all fleet management and maintenance operations, serving as the single point of contact for leadership, maintenance partners, OEMs, and dispatch. You will manage 2-4 direct reports (salaried fleet staff and hourly mechanics), with potential for team expansion as the fleet scales from current operations to 100+ motorcoaches.
Key responsibilities include: owning the maintenance function with vendor management and data analytics; building and maintaining rolling maintenance forecasts aligned to OEM intervals; managing the maintenance budget with Finance and variance reporting; coordinating unscheduled and corrective maintenance without disrupting service; maintaining accurate records in Fleetio and Samsara; managing parts procurement and validating costs; flagging recurring issues and end-of-life vehicles; serving as Landline's representative at external maintenance facilities; scheduling all planned and unplanned work; reviewing and approving partner invoices; conducting quarterly vendor reviews; providing real-time fleet readiness visibility to SOC and leadership; managing vehicle assignments and capacity planning; maintaining vehicle files and compliance documentation; serving as primary OEM contact for warranty claims and technical bulletins; ensuring federal, state, and local compliance; and reporting KPIs (MTBF, out-of-service days, cost per vehicle).
You should have 5-10 years in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet operations, or operations-focused consulting. Required skills include strong data and analytical abilities (Excel proficiency; SQL, Python, or BI tools a plus), comfort with AI tools, excellent communication with frontline staff, and familiarity with Fleetio/Samsara or similar platforms. Six Sigma certification is a nice-to-have. You'll work remotely with occasional travel to station locations in the USA and Canada; residents of NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, and Toronto are preferred.
