As Fintech Onboarding Manager & Consultant, you will be the voice of German customers, driving their success on the Pennylane platform. Your core responsibilities include:
**Customer Onboarding**: Lead comprehensive onboarding for new customers—both SMEs and accounting firms—ensuring rapid time-to-value and platform adoption.
**Account Management**: Serve as primary contact for existing customers, building trusted relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring optimal platform utilization to meet business goals.
**Proactive Consulting**: Conduct regular health checks and business reviews to maximize satisfaction, retention, and prevent churn through strategic guidance.
**Internal Collaboration**: Work closely with the German sales team and leadership to optimize processes, provide product feedback, and contribute to Pennylane's strategic growth in Germany.
**Product Expertise**: Develop deep knowledge of Germany's financial and accounting landscape, becoming a trusted expert who educates customers on best practices.
**Requirements**: 2–5 years in accounting, account management, or customer-focused roles (ideally in accounting firms, SaaS, or fintech). Formal qualification as Steuerfachangestellter, Steuerfachwirt, Steuerberater, or Finance degree required. Deep understanding of SME and accounting firm needs around finance, invoicing, and bookkeeping. Strong communication, empathy, and ability to simplify complex topics. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset suited to early-stage teams. Willingness to travel (~1x/month for customer visits and Paris HQ onboarding). Native/C2-level German and fluent English.
