The Financial Crime Team Lead role sits within Financial Crime Operations, which is responsible for keeping customers and their money safe. This team works directly with customers to resolve issues, flag potential concerns, and prevent financial crime while maintaining trust at the core of Revolut's operations.
In this position, you will manage and lead a team of External Enquiry Analysts, ensuring they operate at peak quality performance. You'll be responsible for handling customer and agent issues, resolving them quickly and efficiently, and serving as the point of contact for internal and external escalations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and leading a team of employees
- Communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team
- Motivating team members and assessing their performance
- Assisting management with hiring, training, and providing regular performance updates
- Communicating concerns and policies between management and team members
- Identifying process and procedure optimization opportunities
- Meeting company SLAs
- Acting as escalation point for internal and external issues
You'll need fluency in English and Portuguese, excellent communication and writing skills, and at least 1+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ full-time employees. Relevant experience in AML, compliance, or card disputes is essential. You should be familiar with AML and sanctions regulations (JMLSG, ML regulations, OFAC, POCA, etc.), able to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. A solid understanding of the interplay between legal and business risk, ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, outside counsel, and regulators, and practical SQL knowledge are required. Sound judgment is critical.
