Creative Fabrica is a subscription platform serving millions of creators, designers, and crafters worldwide. The platform offers a Studio AI suite with 26+ specialized AI tools and a content library of 15+ million commercially-licensed assets. This Financial Accountant role is central to the company's day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes.
You will report to the Head of Accounting and take ownership of core accounting activities across multiple domains:
**Accounts Payable:** Process and code invoices, manage the finance mailbox, and resolve AP issues including duplicates and mismatches. Run weekly and monthly payments via SEPA and PayPal, reconcile corporate card transactions, and maintain vendor records while supporting AP process improvements.
**Reconciliations & General Accounting:** Perform bank, credit card, and AP subledger reconciliations. Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring entries and revenue recognition. Support month-end and year-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting. Proactively investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions.
**VAT, Tax & Compliance:** Prepare Dutch VAT returns (OB, OSS, ICP) and support WKR compliance. Assist with international VAT, GST, and sales tax filings while liaising with external tax advisors. Stay current on Dutch and EU tax regulation changes.
**Audit & Process Improvement:** Support external audits with schedules and documentation. Improve NetSuite processes, bank feed and expense integrations, and identify automation opportunities across Finance workflows.
You will work extensively in Oracle NetSuite, collaborate with colleagues across the business, and liaise with vendors and external parties. As part of a small, hands-on Finance team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of processes and contribute directly to improving Finance operations. The role is designed for an experienced accounting professional who wants to broaden their responsibilities and develop into a broader Accountant role over time.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years in a similar accounting role with strong fundamentals and Dutch GAAP experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite
- Solid grasp of Dutch/EU VAT (OB, OSS, ICP filings) and WKR
- Degree or relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong attention to detail and structured, organized approach to work
- Proactive mindset with ability to investigate issues and find practical solutions
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small Finance team
- Experience in revenue recognition
