Tilt is a fintech company using machine learning and real-time financial signals to provide credit products to millions of customers globally. They are hiring a Finance Systems & Automation Analyst to transform manual accounting workflows into automated, documented, repeatable processes. In this role, you will be the bridge between accounting operations and technical automation. You'll spend most of your time hands-on: writing SQL queries, cleaning ERP and subledger data, building dashboards, and maintaining financial reporting infrastructure. Your core mission is to replace spreadsheet-driven processes with scalable, auditable automation. Key responsibilities include: - Automating recurring accounting workflows (reconciliations, variance analysis, close schedules, audit pulls) using SQL, Python, and BI tools - Extracting, cleaning, and joining data from NetSuite (GL balances, transactions, SuiteQL) with subledgers and source systems - Building and maintaining dashboards and recurring reports for Accounting and Finance teams - Partnering with BI to build financial data models, trace dbt/SQL logic, and validate outputs against the GL - Preparing audit and PBC (provided by client) requests with clear documentation - Troubleshooting broken reports, failed data loads, and reconciliation breaks - Managing day-to-day administration of finance systems including NetSuite, Aleph, and AP automation tools Tilt is remote-first with required travel for company offsites twice per year. The company operates across 14 countries and 12 time zones. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field - 1–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data-focused role - Strong SQL skills: ability to write and debug complex joins and aggregations independently - Working knowledge of dbt (models, sources, lineage) — able to trace metrics through transformations - Proactive testing of changes end-to-end and ability to hunt for issues in data models and queries - Advanced Excel proficiency and interest in AI-assisted solutions beyond spreadsheets - Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP) - Ability to work independently, manage request queues, handle concurrent projects, and communicate with technical and non-technical teams - Strong problem-solving and attention to detail - Preferred: BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI), accounting principles/financial reporting knowledge, CPA or pursuing CPA
