Tajir is a Y Combinator-backed B2B marketplace that has transformed how retail stores in Pakistan purchase inventory. The platform enables on-demand delivery with transparent pricing, serving over 100,000 stores and backed by investors including Kleiner Perkins.
As Finance Executive, you will own core financial operations and reporting for the company. You'll manage the complete monthly close cycle, including reconciliations, general ledger reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries. You'll implement and strengthen financial controls, drive process improvements, and oversee payment and bookkeeping systems.
Your responsibilities include preparing and monitoring monthly cash budgets, analyzing variances, and approving budget overruns. You'll manage the financial aspects of vendor agreements—tracking incentives, rebates, back margins, and ensuring timely settlements. You'll also handle other revenue streams end-to-end, from invoicing through settlement.
You'll support statutory audits by coordinating with audit teams, managing documentation requests, and ensuring compliance. Additionally, you'll provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support leadership on non-routine projects.
This role offers broad exposure across finance operations, vendor management, and strategic decision-making—the kind of scope that typically takes years to accumulate in traditional finance careers. You'll work cross-functionally with teams across the business and have real ownership from day one.
