Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual
Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to join its Customer Support organization and support the deployment and maintenance of its ARGO platform—an automated instrument for high-precision proteomic analysis used in life science research and early disease detection.
This is a hybrid role based in the Bay Area (Fremont, CA) with remote work flexibility, but requires willingness to travel frequently to customer sites throughout the Western US and occasionally globally. You will be the primary technical point of contact for customers, responsible for instrument installation, planned and corrective maintenance, and system upgrades at customer facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform instrument installation, planned maintenance, corrective maintenance, and upgrades for the ARGO platform at customer sites
- Provide exceptional remote and on-site customer support, primarily in the Western US
- When not at customer sites, work on-site at the Fremont location to create, review, and test technical work instructions, manuals, and service bulletins
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
- Respond rapidly to customer requests and document interactions in the CRM system
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Service Development, Engineering, and R&D teams to resolve complex customer issues
- Capture Voice of Customer insights to inform product improvements
- Develop and refine scalable customer support processes to enable team growth

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of field-based service or support experience
