As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and calibration of Lumafield scanners at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance and repairs, and creating and maintaining training materials and safety guidelines. This role involves frequent travel to customer sites (approximately 75% of the time). You will serve as a technical liaison between Lumafield and its customers, ensuring equipment operates optimally and customers receive comprehensive support.
You will work with a team of engineers and support staff, collaborating both on-site and remotely to troubleshoot issues, document service activities, and continuously improve operational procedures. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll need to describe technical situations and issues to remote teammates and write detailed service reports for customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Well-rounded technical background with experience in computer, electrical, and mechanical systems including sensors and actuators
- Comfortable using common hand tools (drill, torque wrench, etc.)
- Meticulous attention to detail in technical work
- Ability to comfortably and professionally interact with customers and suppliers
- Ability to follow written procedures and identify deviations or problems
- Strong verbal communication skills to describe technical situations to remote team members
- Strong written communication skills for service reports
- Collaborative mindset across teams
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
