Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual

Via is a transportation technology platform that powers modern public transit networks globally. The Field Operations Manager for Student Transit leads daily onsite operations of Via's student transportation services in Seattle, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible service for students and districts. In this high-ownership role, you'll manage real-time operational decisions around driver supply, compliance, and student needs. You'll build strong relationships with drivers, addressing concerns and ensuring they're equipped to deliver excellent service. You'll act as the operational bridge between school partners, drivers, and Via's central teams, translating feedback into tangible improvements. Key responsibilities include: running smooth daily operations to ensure service reliability; making informed real-time decisions about resource allocation and unexpected issues; guiding and supporting drivers through relationship-building and problem-solving; converting student and district feedback into actionable operational improvements; using data and technology to diagnose performance issues and enhance efficiency; and collaborating with internal teams on long-term solutions. You'll spend 4-5 days per week onsite, working hands-on in the field. This role requires operational experience in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work. You're relationship-oriented, earning trust through clear communication and follow-through. You're proactive and tactical—solving immediate problems while thinking strategically about systemic solutions. You're mission-driven, understanding how student transportation shapes educational access and life trajectories.
