Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual
Via is a transportation technology company that partners with 100+ cities and public transit agencies worldwide to deploy mobility solutions. As a Field Operations Manager on the Transit-as-a-Service (TaaS) Operations team, you will oversee daily operations in New York, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing real-time operations on-site (4-5 days per week, with occasional early mornings or evenings as needed)
- Overseeing driver supply and vehicle deployment to meet demand expectations
- Serving as the primary point of contact for operational issues, implementing creative solutions in real time
- Responding to driver feedback and live customer issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale operational processes, systems, and tools
- Analyzing metrics and KPIs to identify inefficiencies and optimize operations
You are a self-starter with strong project management and customer service experience. You have a track record of end-to-end ownership, hitting KPIs and revenue goals, and managing teams. You are socially perceptive, environmentally conscious, and aligned with transportation equity and carbon reduction. You communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders, are comfortable with ambiguity, and take initiative on new projects. Multi-site management experience and fluency in additional languages are valued.
Requirements:
- Experienced in project management, operational process creation and refinement, and customer service
- Track record of end-to-end ownership of business operations and hitting KPIs/revenue goals
- Team management and scheduling experience (preferred)
- Multi-site management experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to changing conditions
- Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders (preferred)
