Tomorrow.io is seeking a Field Operations Engineer to join its Global Field Team supporting the deployment, operation, and maintenance of advanced weather systems including radar and weather stations across multiple international sites.
You will lead on-site technical execution during global operations, managing the full lifecycle of weather system deployment—from installation and calibration through operation and disassembly. You'll ensure technical readiness and uptime before, during, and after events, handle field logistics including equipment transport and setup coordination, and serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact. Working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and meteorology teams, you'll define system configurations, troubleshoot issues, support customer discussions, and document solution designs. You'll represent Tomorrow.io in the field with professionalism and technical excellence.
This is a hands-on role involving significant international travel (approximately 60% annually). You'll work in dynamic, real-world outdoor environments, lifting and moving equipment over 40 lbs, assembling/disassembling hardware, and operating in varying weather conditions including at heights.

**Requirements:**
- 3+ years of experience in an Enterprise SaaS, B2B, customer-facing role
- Hands-on experience with weather systems (weather stations, radars, environmental monitoring equipment)
- Valid international driver's license or ability to obtain one
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally at ~60% frequency annually; reliable access to a major international airport strongly preferred
- Hands-on, practical mindset with ability to solve complex issues in dynamic conditions
- Ability to design solutions involving hardware, software, and data flows
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Proven teamwork and coordination skills for small field teams
- Clear communication and customer-facing technical presentation abilities
- Independent, proactive, and resourceful approach
