Salary: EUR 45,000 - 55,000 / annual
Via is seeking a Field Manager to lead daily operations of on-demand RMV transportation services across the greater Frankfurt area. This is a high-ownership, boots-on-the-ground role combining hands-on operations management with data-driven optimization and innovation.
You will run daily onsite operations ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders. Key responsibilities include driving continuous optimization across the field team and service using data, technology, AI, and automation—including leading AI projects from conception to implementation. You'll make real-time decisions on fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs, using data to diagnose problems and maintain service continuity.
You will guide and support drivers, building strong relationships and identifying performance improvement opportunities. You'll translate rider and community feedback into actionable improvements by identifying patterns and addressing root causes. Acting as a bridge between Via's partners, drivers, and central teams, you'll quickly pull data to answer questions, solve problems, and drive improvements.
The role is based in the greater Frankfurt area with an expectation of on-site presence at least 3 days per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Operational experience in people management, logistics, customer service, or other process-oriented work
- Relationship-oriented with strong communication skills; ability to build trust with drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners
- Hands-on and proactive; comfortable taking responsibility for employees, being in the field, and solving problems under pressure
- Data-driven, structured, and digitally savvy; proficient with analytics and AI tools
- Tactical and strategic thinking; able to handle real-time issues while building preventative solutions
- German language skills at C1 level minimum; fluent English
- Valid German driver's license, class B
