Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Federal/Capital Material Manager to support its Composites branch in Morrisville, North Carolina. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining material management procedures and processes that comply with Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 52.245-1 and Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Part 252.244-7001.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing material management strategies, policies, and procedures to increase efficiency and ensure compliance. You will implement end-to-end material management measures covering government and capital inventory, including FIFO adherence, material variance tracking, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, and physical counting/audits. This includes developing and improving critical performance metrics.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including government property, procurement, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality to support accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely material delivery. Working closely with production planning and manufacturing teams, you will align material availability with production schedules to minimize disruptions and meet customer demand.
The role involves analyzing material usage trends, identifying process improvement opportunities, and implementing lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution. You will utilize ERP and WMS software systems to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols is essential.
You will lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This is an onsite position requiring local presence in Morrisville, NC, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
