Sleeper is a sports-focused games platform with messaging at its core, backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst. The company is building a digital playground for sports fans to connect and hang out together.
As a Customer Success Associate, you will be the front-line support for Sleeper's users, playing a key role in supporting and nurturing user relationships. You'll collect the voice of the customer and funnel feedback to appropriate product and engineering teams. The role involves user onboarding, resolving bug and usability issues, and collecting and prioritizing product and feature requests.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating strong product knowledge
- Communicate effectively with users across multiple channels including email, chat, and social media
- Promote Sleeper through conflict resolution and effective communication
- Question conventional wisdom, take initiative, and develop creative solutions to user problems
- Work as part of a small, passionate team that directly impacts the product and company direction
Successful candidates are skilled problem-solvers who excel at asking clarifying questions to understand user needs and intent. You'll need a high degree of empathy and a customer-centric mindset. The role requires flexibility to work varying shifts including weeknights and weekends, with a schedule of 5 days work and 2 days off.
The company intentionally keeps its team small to maximize individual impact. You'll work alongside designers, engineers, product experts, and operations-focused professionals all dedicated to connecting people over sports.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work weeknights and weekends with varying shift schedules (5 days work, 2 days off required)
- Competence with Intercom preferred but not required
- Passion for sports and Sleeper fandom
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify creative solutions
