Crux is a capital platform modernizing fundraising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure. This is a true executive assistant role—not pure scheduling or project management, but a force multiplier position supporting 2-3 senior executives with light support to their broader team.
You will own calendar management and gatekeeping, aggressively prioritizing against business objectives while defending focus time. You'll handle inbox triage and response management, filtering and drafting replies on behalf of executives, with training to recognize regulatory compliance moments that require direct executive handling.
Executive operations responsibilities include pulling together meeting materials and agendas with proper context, sitting in on select meetings to capture follow-ups and track action items, and coordinating interview loops. You'll maintain workflow system hygiene across HubSpot, Rippling, and Ramp, keeping CRM data clean and current.
Travel and personal logistics fall under your purview—maintaining an integrated view of business and personal travel, health appointments, and event coordination. You'll coordinate closing dinners, team onsites, conferences, and client/investor events, with roughly monthly travel required primarily for team onsites. Light deck and formatting support rounds out the role.
The operating environment is fast-paced and externally facing, shaped by real-time deal activity. You'll need to operate proactively, make decisions within defined boundaries, move at the pace of the desk (expect long hours and real-time responsiveness across Slack, text, and email), and hold the line on prioritization while pushing back constructively.
Must-haves: strong judgment and prioritization, high discretion and confidentiality, ability to manage up and push back when needed, detail-oriented with strong follow-through, systems-oriented mindset, and AI fluency or appetite to develop it. Nice-to-haves include experience supporting senior executives in finance/banking or regulated environments, and familiarity with HubSpot or comparable CRM tools. No prior financial services or investor workflow experience required—the right person can learn on the job.
Crux has raised $77M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Lowercarbon Capital, is profitable and growing exponentially, and has closed 130+ transactions in the last two years, facilitating billions in capital deployment. The company operates remote-first with optional offices in DC, NYC, and SF, and emphasizes high growth and high ownership culture.
