Tailscale is seeking an Events & Remote Experience Manager to own the full lifecycle of internal events, culture programming, and remote/hybrid work experience for a fully distributed, high-growth team. This is a foundational role building culture intentionally across a company with no existing playbook.
You will plan and execute company-wide offsites (10–450+ attendees), team-level events, and recurring virtual gatherings that keep a distributed workforce connected. You'll manage relationships with coworking providers and physical spaces, handling lease terms, capacity planning, access logistics, and vendor SLAs. You'll own the rewards and recognition program end-to-end, from platform selection to nomination workflows to celebration moments. You'll also improve the remote experience through swag, onboarding touches, and small rituals that matter when teams rarely see the office.
Key responsibilities include: planning and executing company offsites (venue, logistics, budget, agenda, on-site management); coordinating team-level events with team leads; running a cadence of virtual events; managing coworking and physical space vendors and relationships; owning event budgets from forecast through reconciliation; sourcing and negotiating with vendors (venues, caterers, travel, AV, swag, event platforms); handling full logistics chains (invites, RSVPs, travel, run-of-show docs, day-of execution); collecting and acting on feedback; and traveling 10–25% to support in-person events.
You'll partner closely with People, Finance, and team leads to deliver well-run, on-budget experiences that are genuinely valued. You'll build processes as the company scales and flex them as the organization changes. This role requires someone who cares about details, can hold budgets and vendor relationships simultaneously, and sees a direct line between their work and how it feels to work at Tailscale.
