Echodyne, a leader in solid-state radar technology for autonomous vehicles, drones, and critical infrastructure, is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join their fast-growing team in Kirkland, WA.
You will develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide environmental, health, and safety programs across research laboratories, manufacturing, and office locations. This role is central to fostering a culture of safety while ensuring full compliance with OSHA, WISHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs for multiple locations
- Conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; leading incident investigations using root cause analysis
- Managing OSHA 300 logs, environmental records, permits, and regulatory reporting
- Designing and delivering safety training programs, including orientation and specialized training (robotics, contractors)
- Leading emergency preparedness planning, evacuation procedures, and emergency response drills; serving as on-call for critical emergencies
- Managing hazardous materials, chemical inventory, Safety Data Sheets, and environmental compliance
- Chairing the Safety Committee and promoting employee engagement in safety initiatives
- Tracking and reporting safety metrics; recommending continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs
- Partnering with Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing, and HR on equipment safety, ergonomics, and facility modifications
- Managing the safety budget and planning future improvements
Required experience includes incident investigation, hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, emergency response planning, and strong communication/leadership skills. Desired qualifications include CSP, ASP, or CIH certification; ISO 14001/45001 experience; and background in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, or defense sectors.
