inDrive is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Grocery team. You will build and mentor a high-performance engineering team while overseeing the development of scalable systems that power the grocery vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow engineering teams, supporting onboarding, mentorship, and career development for engineers
- Manage project planning, execution, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality, on-time software delivery
- Align engineering efforts with business goals through close collaboration with product, business, and other stakeholders
- Develop and optimize engineering processes, tools, and technologies in partnership with your team
- Build and nurture a developer community within the company and represent the team at external conferences
- Oversee the use of core technologies including Golang, Python, MySQL, and Kubernetes to ensure efficient development practices
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in engineering management with a strong background in software development
- Solid understanding of high-volume projects, server and client architecture, and development limitations
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with talent for explaining complex technical concepts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely, quality delivery
- BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience working on Grocery, Marketplace, or other e-commerce products, with strong understanding of their business and technical challenges
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and commitment to ongoing skill development and teamwork
