As an Engineering Manager, you will be a highly technical, hands-on leader responsible for building and scaling engineering teams while maintaining direct coding contributions. This is not a pure management role—you will actively engage in coding, perform in-depth code reviews, and partner with tech leads on complex problem-solving and architectural decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Hands-on Technical Leadership: Actively code, conduct code reviews, and collaborate on system design and architectural decisions alongside senior engineers.
• Strategic & AI-Driven Development: Define and execute technical strategy and roadmap, leveraging AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance workflows, automate tasks, and drive innovative solutions.
• Customer & Business Centricity: Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring technical products align with business goals and deliver measurable business impact.
• Process & Quality Champion: Drive engineering craftsmanship by establishing effective processes, standards, and tools that enhance code quality, system reliability, and developer productivity.
• Talent & Growth Focus: Attract, hire, and technically mentor top-tier engineering talent, fostering their growth and empowering data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborative Innovation: Lead technical collaborations across Product, Business, and Operations functions, gathering requirements and fostering bottom-up innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Mandatory:
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years of hands-on coding in large-scale applications and 1+ years in people management
• Exceptional coding skills in backend programming languages (preferably Go, PHP, Python, C++, or Java)
• Experience using and building with LLMs
• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems handling large data volumes
• In-depth understanding of web technologies, databases, and/or messaging systems
Good to have:
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects on GitHub
• Experience in product-driven companies with understanding of full software development lifecycle
• Comprehensive understanding of backend programming languages and ecosystem trends
