Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 / annual
Nuvo is transforming the $11 trillion B2B commerce and payments market by bringing B2B commerce online. While consumer commerce has been reshaped by technology, the B2B economy—three times larger—still relies on outdated methods like paper forms, PDFs, emails, faxes, phone calls, and spreadsheets. Nuvo aims to do for B2B what Shopify, Stripe, and Square did for consumer commerce.
The company's product and platform have grown 3x year-over-year. As Nuvo scales its technologies to connect the world's businesses and enable them to trade on the internet, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to build, lead, and grow a team of engineers developing Nuvo's technical platforms.
In this role, you will lead and grow one of Nuvo's core engineering teams, owning delivery, quality, and team health. You'll partner closely with product and design to bring bold ideas to life and help set the foundation for scaling: culture, systems, and standards of technical and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own technical product areas and delivery across Onboarding Product, Platform, Infra, AI, and new products
- Lead and mentor a team of world-class engineers to ensure high performance, well-being, and growth
- Set technical direction for engineering-driven initiatives as Nuvo scales to over 1M businesses on its network
- Recruit technically gifted engineers and establish high talent density on the team
- Bring new products to life that build on existing distribution
- Work closely with customers, go-to-market, and product teams
- Set high standards for velocity and code quality
- Foster a team environment grounded in ownership, speed, and empathy for each other and users
- Leverage cutting-edge technologies to maximize throughput and discover new product surfaces
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional experience with demonstrated experience managing and hiring teams of engineers
- First principles-oriented engineer who prioritizes high throughput code output while balancing rigor and correctness
- Track record of shipping high-quality code under tight feedback loops and limited resources
- Experience working in quickly scaling environments and guiding engineering success at different stages of company growth
