AudioMob is the industry leader in mobile in-app audio advertising, combining audio, technology, and AI to create non-intrusive advertising solutions for game developers and app publishers. We are seeking an experienced hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our Infrastructure and Services team in Abu Dhabi.
You will lead and manage a team of software engineers while remaining deeply involved in technical aspects of highly scalable systems. Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering excellence and growth
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of high-scale software solutions aligned with business goals
- Provide technical leadership for systems processing billions of requests per day
- Actively participate in coding, code reviews, and architecture discussions to maintain technical excellence
- Mentor and develop engineering talent with guidance and career development opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into solutions
- Ensure the team follows best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
- Identify and resolve technical and organizational challenges to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day remote) based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
- Demonstrable expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
- Proven experience designing, operating, and scaling complex infrastructure on cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Strong expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and in-memory data stores (Redis)
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools and strong interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and automation
- Extensive experience delivering high-scale, high-performance solutions
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- Proficiency in Go
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (SvelteKit, React) with TypeScript
- In-depth understanding of the AdTech industry
