Preply is a unicorn edtech platform (Series D, $150M) that connects 100,000+ tutors teaching 90+ languages to learners in 180 countries. The Supply Engagement team owns how Preply changes tutor behavior at scale through communications, community, and academy channels.
In this role, you'll report to the Senior Manager of Supply Engagement and be part of a six-person team. You'll own the operational execution of tutor-facing programs and projects end-to-end, including:
- Running major tutor-facing programs such as the annual tutor conference and webinar series (sourcing speakers, coordinating logistics, tracking outcomes)
- Driving new engagement projects from ideation through delivery
- Managing community activities including contests, awards, and story collections
- Supporting the Academy's LMS migration by coordinating content shifts, reviewing content, and building AI workflows to accelerate the process
- Conducting focus groups, light research, and data analysis to improve tutor experience
- Establishing reporting cadences to measure program performance
You'll own outcomes including: tutor engagement programs that deliver real value, tutor sentiment and trust metrics, ensuring tutor voice shapes product decisions, and building an operational backbone that enables the team to move fast and deliver programs on time at scale.
The role balances execution (running someone else's plan with precision) and ownership (taking full responsibility for projects with no existing plan). You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, build trust quickly without formal authority, and use data to measure whether programs actually work.
Preply offers a competitive package including equity, generous learning allowance on the platform, L&D budget, health insurance, relocation support to Barcelona, mental health support, and Gympass wellness access.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience planning and running complex events or programs that reached thousands of people, within a team with real stakeholders and dependencies (not small informal pilots)
- Proven ability to both execute someone else's plan with precision and take full ownership of projects with no existing plan
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners
- Analytical skills: comfortable extracting insights from research and focus groups, and using data to measure program success
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with sharp judgment on tone
- Ability to build AI systems and workflows that replace repetitive manual work
- Ability to build working trust with new teams quickly, repeatedly, without formal authority
NICE TO HAVE:
- Strong user empathy for how programs affect tutors' ability to earn and feel supported
- Familiarity with learning management systems (Docebo, 360Learning, Thinkific)
- Experience in professional development or marketplace environments
- Experience in content creation and content operations
