Voyager Technologies is seeking an Energetics Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily production operations in energetics and rocket propulsion manufacturing. This role oversees all operations involving energetic materials, propellant formulation, component assembly, and testing, ensuring execution is safe, efficient, and fully compliant with quality systems and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include supervising and coaching a team of production operators and technicians to meet safety, quality, and output targets. You will execute production schedules, adjust staffing and priorities to meet delivery requirements, and monitor production processes to ensure adherence to work instructions, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. The role demands strong enforcement of safety policies, including conducting toolbox talks and ensuring prompt incident reporting and investigation.
You will identify and resolve production issues in collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams. Track and report key performance indicators (scrap, throughput, downtime, rework) and lead corrective actions to improve performance. Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities such as 5S and lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Additional duties include conducting employee training, cross-training, and onboarding; providing regular performance feedback; and participating in evaluations and disciplinary actions. You will ensure accurate completion of production records, logs, and ERP/MES transactions, and support audits and customer visits while upholding company policies and values on the production floor.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of relevant experience in energetics, propulsion, or aerospace manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Knowledge of energetic material handling, hazardous production operations, quality documentation, and safety plans is essential. Proficiency with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES) and ability to interpret technical drawings are required. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, be 21+ years old, pass a pre-employment drug test, and pass State and Federal background checks. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology or mechanical engineering is preferred; equivalent experience is accepted.
