Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental health initiatives at Composite Resources, a rapidly growing manufacturer of composite components and tooling for aerospace and defense clients in Rock Hill, SC.
In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs across manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for all processes, building and leading a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program with machine-specific procedures and compliance auditing, and developing Emergency Action Plans for various scenarios including severe weather, fire, and active shooter situations.
You will develop training materials and conduct monthly safety training sessions, manage safety equipment inventory (first aid kits, spill kits, medical boxes, AEDs), and serve as the primary regulatory contact for OSHA, city, state, and other agencies. Additional duties include maintaining OSHA 300 logs, conducting safety investigations for near misses and recordables with root cause analysis, tracking plant-wide safety metrics via visual management, and ensuring compliance with all applicable EHS regulations.
You will collaborate with the management team to embed safety principles into all operational activities and foster a positive safety culture. The role requires travel between two sites as needed.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred) or equivalent professional experience; minimum 8 years of EHS experience in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Highly preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification, lean manufacturing/problem-solving experience, multi-site operations experience, aerospace manufacturing background, and OSHA 511 certification. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and applicable EHS standards is essential.
