David is a high-growth consumer food brand creating high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods. Led by Peter Rahal (Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR), the company is scaling rapidly across mass, club, grocery, and distributor channels. The EDI Operations Manager owns the systems and data connections that enable David's retail business to scale. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strategic infrastructure planning. You will manage the daily transaction queue, resolve exceptions blocking shipments, and architect the data infrastructure supporting growth across retail partners and distribution centers. Key responsibilities include: **Order Flow & Exception Management**: Own the daily EDI transaction queue end-to-end, triaging and troubleshooting across the full stack (X12 documents, connector configuration, ERP master data, pricing, warehouse handoff). Convert recurring failures into preventive fixes and automation rather than one-off repairs. Build monitoring and reporting for stuck orders, aging exceptions, ingestion cycle time, and partner compliance. **Trading Partner Onboarding & Certification**: Run complete onboarding workflows including trade requests, specifications, configuration, testing, certification, and go-live. Manage third-party testing projects and seed customer, DC, item, and pricing records ahead of launch. **Integration Architecture & Vendor Management**: Own the trading partner integration architecture, determining which documents flow where, what runs as EDI versus API, and system-of-record boundaries. Scope new partner and warehouse connections with the NetSuite & Integrations team. Manage vendor relationships across the stack. **Documentation & Master Data**: Build reusable onboarding playbooks documenting partner specifications, configurations, mapping logic, and troubleshooting runbooks. Own customer, DC hierarchy, item cross-reference, GTIN/UPC keys, and price level data. Required: 3+ years owning EDI in CPG, food, or consumer products selling through mass, club, grocery, and distributor channels. Deep fluency in ANSI X12 (reading raw envelopes, interpreting rejections, diagnosing root cause). Hands-on experience with retail/grocery transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 860, 997, 875, 880) and warehouse transactions (940, 943, 945). Direct NetSuite experience with EDI connectors and master data. Experience managing implementation consultants and vendors. Clear communication with non-technical partners. Preferred: Orderful EDI platform experience. Full-time, in-office 5 days/week in NYC. Compensation $100–125k annually (inclusive of bonus), equity, 100% covered health/vision/dental, 401(k) with 4% match, gym benefits, substantial PTO.
