Aalo Atomics is pioneering factory-fabricated microreactors designed to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power. The company is based in Austin, TX and is rapidly growing as it works to deploy the world's first fleet of advanced microreactors. The Document Control & Records Manager will lead day-to-day document control, records management, and technical documentation processes across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary owner of Aalo's NQA-1 controlled document and records programs, ensuring documentation is created, reviewed, approved, maintained, and archived in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards. Key responsibilities include: **Document Control & Records Management:** Lead day-to-day management of controlled documents and quality records within the document management system. Track, review, route, and process documents for approval, revision, release, retention, and archival. Coordinate document numbering, formatting, naming conventions, and metadata to ensure consistency, traceability, and control. Maintain revision histories and ensure document changes, approvals, and status are accurately captured. Ensure obsolete or superseded documents are removed from active use and archived in accordance with records retention requirements. Own and maintain document control and records management programs under NQA-1 requirements. **Technical Writing & Editing:** Provide technical writing and editing support for controlled documentation. Review documents for clarity, completeness, consistency, grammar, formatting, and alignment with company standards. Develop and maintain technical writing standards, templates, style guidance, and documentation best practices. Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into clear, accurate, and usable documentation. Drive consistency in document structure, language, and formatting across functions. **Cross-Functional Documentation Support:** Work closely with internal teams and customer teams to ensure timely support for documentation needs, updates, and deliverables. Serve as the primary point of contact for document-related questions, process guidance, and document management support. Partner with quality, licensing, manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to support document control and records needs. Provide training on technical document processes, systems, templates, and documentation best practices. **Compliance, Audits & Configuration Control:** Support audits, inspections, and assessments by ensuring required documents and records are complete, accurate, controlled, and readily retrievable. Support configuration control and change management processes by ensuring documentation changes are properly reviewed, tracked, and implemented. Develop, maintain, and improve document control and records management procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in document lifecycle management, records compliance, technical editing, and cross-functional coordination in a regulated and highly controlled environment. This position works closely with quality, engineering, licensing, manufacturing, operations, and customer teams to ensure controlled documents and records are accurate, consistent, retrievable, and audit-ready. **Requirements:** The posting emphasizes the need for experience in document lifecycle management, records compliance, technical editing, and cross-functional coordination in regulated environments.
