Salary: USD 129,000 - 165,000 / annual

Vuori, an athletic apparel brand blending performance and casual aesthetics, is seeking an experienced District Manager to lead retail operations across multiple stores in the LA East region. Based in Pasadena, you will oversee a portfolio of Vuori stores, driving both operational excellence and revenue growth while building a thriving retail community. You will manage all aspects of district operations, including store performance, team development, and customer experience. Key responsibilities include: **Leadership & People Management:** Manage Store Managers through regular visits and development conversations; oversee hiring for all store roles; foster a culture of performance feedback and coaching grounded in Vuori's core values; ensure HR compliance across your district; and continuously improve training materials and onboarding programs. **Cross-Functional Partnership:** Act as a liaison between headquarters and retail stores, creating two-way feedback loops; facilitate bottom-up communication of customer insights and best practices; and partner with the New Store Opening team on district expansions. **Sales & Operations:** Own district and store revenue targets; support Store Managers in developing short- and long-term sales strategies; ensure visual merchandising and brand consistency; manage scheduling, payroll, and budget oversight; maintain store standards including cleanliness, inventory, and safety compliance. **Community Engagement:** Lead local community initiatives; establish relationships with local studios, gyms, teams, and athletes; position Vuori as a brand ambassador in your markets; and drive traffic through strategic outreach and partnerships. You will be the ultimate brand ambassador, accountable for creating a productive environment where customers have memorable experiences, employees are motivated, and the business thrives. The role requires flexibility including weekends, evenings, and holidays, plus up to 50% travel. **Requirements:** - 8+ years of progressive leadership in retail management - 4+ years of multi-unit retail leadership experience - Extensive budget management experience - Expertise in human resources (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, performance management) - Obsessive commitment to elevating customer experience - Owner mentality: proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement - Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and manage multiple projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments - Availability reflecting business needs (weekends, evenings, holidays) - Ability to travel up to 50%
