Hadrian is building autonomous factories that enable aerospace and defense manufacturers to produce rockets, satellites, jets, and ships 10x faster and 2x cheaper. The company combines advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to reindustrialize American production. Backed by T. Rowe Price, Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz, Hadrian is expanding rapidly with Factory 3 launching in Mesa, Arizona (290,000 sq ft, 350 new jobs), new Hadrian Maritime division for naval production, and a Factory-as-a-Service model.
As Director of Workplace Services, you will establish and lead the workplace services function across multiple locations. This is a leadership role focused on designing, building, and scaling the team and programs that support Hadrian's rapid growth. You will set strategy for the workplace services organization, including office operations, facilities coordination, physical security, and non-machine workplace infrastructure at manufacturing sites.
Key responsibilities include: establishing the workplace services vision and operating model across all locations; designing and building the workplace services org with office operations, facilities coordination, physical security, and site support roles; hiring, onboarding, and developing a high-performing team; overseeing office buildouts, expansions, and reconfigurations; providing direction on soundproofing, desk layouts, furniture selection, and functional workspaces; coordinating with electrical, networking, and facilities vendors; overseeing physical security programs including access control, badge systems, visitor management, and camera vendors; partnering with IT, Security, and EHS on access requirements and incident response; owning vendor strategy, selection, contracts, and performance management; managing the workplace services budget and forecasting; and establishing workplace and security policies and operating standards.
You will operate at the systems level, move fast, and create structure while the company scales aggressively. Initially you will roll up your sleeves to support execution, but the primary expectation is to build the team quickly and transition hands-on work to coordinators, specialists, and facilities staff. You will partner closely with People Operations, IT, Finance, EHS, and other operational teams to ensure workplaces align with company needs and support rapid onboarding and growth.
Required qualifications: significant proven experience in workplace services, facilities management, office operations, physical security, or related functions with increasing leadership scope; proven experience building and scaling teams in high-growth environments; strong track record of overseeing multi-site workplace programs; ability to move quickly from zero to structure while prioritizing what matters most; experience managing vendors, contractors, and external partners at scale; excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder leadership skills. Experience supporting rapid headcount growth, opening new locations, blending office and manufacturing settings, strong organizational design instincts, and hiring judgment will set you apart.
