Celonis is seeking a Director of Value Engineering for the CPG & Retail segment across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), based in Munich. This is a leadership role with full operational responsibility for driving enterprise AI adoption and process transformation among major retail and consumer goods brands.
You will lead a dedicated team of 6–7 Value Engineers, serving as a player-coach who actively guides, coaches, and develops talent while maintaining an executive presence with C-level customers. The team spans diverse backgrounds including supply chain, procurement, management consulting, and retail operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning ARR targets, renewal forecasts, and net retention metrics across the DACH CPG & Retail sector, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and realized customer value
- Recruiting, onboarding, leading, and mentoring a Munich-based team of 6–7 Value Engineers with proactive coaching, performance management, and career progression planning
- Serving as Celonis Executive Sponsor on critical DACH deals, joining the team in the field to lead executive meetings, value sprints, and strategic transformation workshops
- Positioning Celonis as the foundation for modern process intelligence and next-generation Agentic AI adoption using the Context Model and Digital Twin capabilities
- Cultivating executive-level relationships across regional partner networks, services teams, and account executives
- Standardizing and scaling best practices, solution blueprints, and industry-specific frameworks internally and externally
The DACH CPG & Retail patch includes some of the world's most recognizable consumer brands and retail giants navigating complex global supply chains, omnichannel fulfillment challenges, and the rapid rise of Process Intelligence and Agentic AI. You will engage directly with vocal customer champions, C-level decision-makers, and thought leaders shaping the future of retail and consumer goods innovation.

Qualifications:
- Native or business-fluent German (spoken and written) and fluent English required to interface with executive decision-makers across the DACH market
- Based in or willing to relocate to Munich, with willingness to travel to customer sites across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
- Proven track record leading pre-sales, management consulting, or value engineering teams within Enterprise SaaS, Enterprise AI, or Management Consulting
- Deep domain familiarity with supply chain, procurement, fulfillment, and operational processes within CPG & Retail industries
- Demonstrated ability to directly manage or mentor a team of 6–7 high-performing individual contributors with strong passion for team coaching and talent development
- Strong business acumen with experience owning ACV, net retention, and renewal pipeline metrics
- Outstanding executive presence with proven track record of building C-level relationships across global brands and regional retail leaders
