Hims & Hers, a publicly traded healthcare platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking a Director of Technical Services to lead a newly created, cross-site technical operations role across their expanding manufacturing network. This network includes 503A compounding pharmacies, a 503B outsourcing facility, and a new peptide active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site. The Director will own and execute the multi-site Technical Services strategy, with primary responsibilities spanning technology transfer, cleaning validation, process validation, and hands-on troubleshooting across all manufacturing sites. This is a people-management role overseeing site-level Technical Services Managers while maintaining direct technical accountability. Key responsibilities include: leading technology transfer of new products and processes from R&D into commercial manufacturing; owning the network-wide cleaning validation program including method development, worst-case grouping, sampling strategy, and acceptance limits; leading process validation for sterile/nonsterile compounding and API manufacturing, including aseptic simulations; serving as the primary technical resource for diagnosing and resolving process deviations, yield losses, and quality issues; providing hands-on equipment troubleshooting for compounding, filling, sterilization, and API processing equipment; and setting network-level standards for process development, equipment commissioning, and IOQ/PQ execution. The role requires managing and developing site Technical Services Managers, setting technical priorities, ensuring quality and consistency of validation work, and owning hiring and career development for the team. The Director will partner closely with site Operations, Quality, R&D, and Engineering leaders to maintain manufacturing reliability as the network scales. This is a strategic leadership position combining deep technical expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing with cross-functional collaboration and people management in a high-growth, regulated environment.
