Salary: USD 193,000 - 241,000 / annual

New Relic is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead a team of technical program managers within the Finance organization. This is a people-management role responsible for building, coaching, and mentoring a team of TPMs to drive organizational OKRs through complex, cross-functional initiatives focused on engineering efficiency and productivity. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and coaching a team of technical program managers, ensuring high performance and continuous development of program management capabilities - Managing complex, large-scale initiatives that span multiple teams and departments, with focus on efficiency, productivity, and team collaboration - Acting as a principal program manager on especially challenging projects, working with leaders across the company to drive key trade-off decisions and navigate ambiguous situations - Serving as a bridge between the Finance organization and the broader business, ensuring alignment and successful execution of cross-functional programs - Building strong relationships with Directors, VPs, and other leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Support to drive successful program delivery - Identifying execution gaps and risks, taking decisive action in fast-paced environments Required qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in engineering and product delivery alongside engineers - 8+ years leading technical program management and/or engineering teams - Proficiency with program management methodologies (Kanban, Lean, SAFe, Scrum) with real-world large-scale execution experience - Strong ability to structure ambiguity and drive toward measurable outcomes - Excellent communication skills and executive presence; proven ability to influence without formal authority - Working technical proficiency with deep understanding of SDLC, engineering standards, and architectural risk management - Self-starter with strong relationship-building and cross-functional team leadership experience Bonus qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, experience with Financial & CRM Systems, SaaS applications, Jira, and prior experience at high-growth companies.
