BitGo is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to build and lead the TPM function for R&D from the ground up. This is a high-impact execution role at a public company where delivery integrity directly affects regulatory compliance, audit outcomes, and investor confidence.
You will own timely and predictable delivery across BitGo's product portfolio, managing complex cross-functional programs that span product, engineering, compliance, legal, and finance. Key responsibilities include:
• Delivery Integrity: Ensure product commitments ship on schedule. Own end-to-end execution of major programs including acquisition integrations, legal-entity restructurings, and partner migrations. Escalate delivery risks immediately when plans diverge from commitments.
• Regulatory & Compliance Partnerships: Run programs at the intersection of product delivery and regulatory exposure. Manage new-product regulatory review pipelines with fixed examiner deadlines, coordinate remediation of audit findings that require product builds, and ensure delivery against regulator commitments. Build trust between product and regulatory/compliance/legal/finance/audit teams by making plans credible and review timelines predictable.
• Portfolio Management: Maintain the single source of truth for resource allocation, program sequencing, and risk. Surface contradictions—committed goals with unstaffed critical-path dependencies, duplicate ownership, cross-team dependencies living in no one's plan—before they become quarter-end misses. Build an accurate picture of keep-the-lights-on load so real capacity is known.
• Operating Rhythm: Establish and run the product org's execution-review cadence. Deliver current, honest initiative status; launch readiness that commercial can sell against; and a working blocker-escalation path with SLAs. Make status cheap to produce and impossible to fudge.
• Team Building: Start hands-on as the first TPM for R&D, running the highest-exposure programs yourself. Build out the function within the first year, hiring 1–2 additional TPMs against proven need. Set the bar for what program management means at BitGo: outcome-accountable, technically fluent, and light-touch on teams already delivering.
This is not a process-improvement role. It is an execution-risk role where missed delivery on regulated commitments has audit, examiner, and investor consequences. You will report to leadership and have visibility across the entire product and engineering organization.
