BitGo is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to build and lead the TPM function for R&D from the ground up. As the first program manager in this role, you will own execution-risk management across BitGo's product portfolio, ensuring timely and predictable delivery of regulated digital asset solutions (custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, settlement) to thousands of institutional clients and millions of retail investors. You will own four core mandates: (1) Timely and predictable delivery of product across the portfolio, including cross-team and cross-entity programs (acquisition integrations, legal-entity restructurings, partner migrations) executed end-to-end with early escalation when plans diverge from commitments; (2) Building trust between product and regulatory, compliance, legal, finance, and audit partners by running programs where product delivery and control exposure intersect—new-product regulatory review pipelines with fixed examiner deadlines, audit-finding remediation where the fix is a product build, and delivery against regulator commitments; (3) Maintaining the single source of truth for resource allocation, program sequencing, and risk exposure, surfacing contradictions (committed goals with unstaffed critical-path dependencies, duplicate ownership, cross-team dependencies in nobody's plan) before they surface as quarter-end misses, and building a credible picture of keep-the-lights-on load; (4) Running the product operating rhythm—execution-review cadence with current and honest initiative status, launch readiness for commercial, and a working blocker-escalation path with SLAs. Within your first year, you will hire 1–2 TPMs and build out the function, setting the bar for what program management means at BitGo: outcome-accountable, technically fluent, and light-touch on teams already delivering. This is not a process-improvement role; it is an execution-risk role at a public company where missed delivery on regulated commitments has audit, examiner, and investor consequences. Success in the first two quarters means every regulated-delivery program has a dated plan reconciled against external deadlines with gaps escalated in writing, committed goals and staffing are reconciled with zero commitments carrying unstaffed critical-path dependencies, and at least one integration or entity program is demonstrably run end-to-end through your operating model.
