Manifold is an AI platform for life sciences that accelerates the discovery and delivery of life-changing medicines. The company serves global pharmaceutical companies and premier research institutions, helping them operate faster and more effectively across target identification, clinical development, market access, and precision medicine workflows. You will serve as Director of Strategic Accounts, owning Manifold's relationship with the Broad Institute—a cornerstone strategic collaboration. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role reporting to the VP of Strategic Account Management. Key Responsibilities: - Own the complete relationship with the Broad Institute's leadership, from C-suite executives to operational stakeholders, accountable for customer health, satisfaction, and account growth. - Serve as Manifold's operational and programmatic point of contact, establishing regular cadence, shared visibility, and clear alignment with the Broad's executive team and business development counterparts. - Proactively identify and capture growth opportunities by expanding usage among existing labs and bringing new labs onto the platform. - Manage relationships with Broad PIs holding significant federal grants (e.g., AnVIL, All of Us). - Lead and drive the Joint Steering Committee meetings, owning the agenda and facilitating strategic discussions. - Coordinate internal Manifold teams (Legal, Product, Professional Services) to support all aspects of the Broad relationship. - Drive institutional-level communication about the partnership across the Broad community, including the Terra platform user base, coordinating with Broad's communications team. - Support strategy for freemium user populations as the Broad transitions from Legacy Terra to Terra Powered by Manifold. - Track and triage grant-related enhancement requests, partnering with Product and Legal on prioritization. - Report partnership status, 90-day priorities, and adoption progress to the executive team regularly. Requirements: - 7+ years of experience managing large, complex account relationships, partnering directly with C-suite executives and navigating competing priorities across functions. - Demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with PhD-level scientific and technical stakeholders; comfortable navigating institutional-level complexity and ambiguity. - Experience running a program, product, or platform in research computing, grant-funded, or customer-facing commercial contexts, with exposure to grant funding and academic budgeting. - Strong listening and diagnostic skills; ability to quickly identify customer problems and mobilize internal resources to solve them effectively. - Comfort operating at the intersection of large, matrixed academic institutions and multiple internal functions (Legal, Product, Professional Services). - Excellent relationship management and executive-level communication skills, with judgment to know what to escalate versus resolve independently. - Familiarity with the Broad Institute or comparable large research institution, including funding structures and internal dynamics. - Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in life sciences, genomics, or related scientific/technical field—or comparable experience that earns scientific credibility with PhD-level stakeholders.
