NewGlobe seeks a Director, Schools to lead performance management across a portfolio of schools in the Kwara territory. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring excellence in school management, academic programming, staff professional development, regulatory compliance, and community engagement.
You will oversee one of the company's largest teams, including Regional Managers and School Supervisors who provide daily support to schools. Your responsibilities include:
• Driving school success across three dimensions: excellence in school management metrics, achievement of ambitious learning outcome targets, and building strong community and parent engagement
• Managing direct reports including Regional Managers, L&D Manager, and Academic Manager
• Using data from multiple sources to ensure robust academic programming, regulatory adherence, and outsized learning outcomes
• Spending approximately 20% of time in schools observing teaching and management, engaging with government officials, parents, and community stakeholders
• Supporting school events, enrollment efforts, and staff transitions
• Ensuring regulatory compliance including environmental, social, and national standards
• Overseeing professional development delivery and leadership training for supervisors and school staff
• Managing budgets, preventing fraud, and ensuring financial discipline across the schools group
• Collaborating with government and local organizations on staff recruitment and development
You will report to the Managing Director and VP Schools. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, resource-constrained environments and is deeply committed to improving educational outcomes for underserved communities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven management and leadership experience leading teams to accomplish objectives
• Proven experience managing field-based teams
• Belief in data-driven decision making
• School management experience preferred

• Collaborative leadership with strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent (Masters degree a plus)
• Demonstrated track record as a detailed executor with organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Experience in start-up or rapid-growth environments preferred
• Creative problem-solving ability in resource-constrained settings
