Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM, with AI agents that automate sales workflows from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. The company serves 1,500+ customers including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling, has raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, and has tripled ARR annually for three consecutive years. The Director of Revenue Engineering leads the technical arm of Revenue Operations, owning the systems layer around the GTM organization. This includes the revenue data platform, automation that drives pipeline generation, and deal infrastructure that converts pricing and packaging decisions into closed revenue. Key responsibilities include: setting technical direction for the revenue data platform and AI tooling built on it; owning internal and board revenue reporting in partnership with Finance; running deal economics from quote through booking; reconciling revenue reporting against billing quarterly; managing a team of three (GTM Engineer, Platform Engineer, Deal Desk Lead); building launch infrastructure for new products, pricing, and packaging with price books, approval flows, billing sync, and reporting; and establishing engineering and data standards for the team. You will report to the VP of Revenue Operations and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Product, and Engineering leadership. This is a player-coach role requiring real technical depth—you should have built revenue systems yourself and understand how GTM organizations operate day-to-day. Ideal candidates have owned a revenue technology stack end-to-end at high-growth B2B SaaS companies, hired and managed engineers or technical ICs, shipped and run a source-of-truth data platform with reconciled revenue numbers, built or run automation that improved rep productivity metrics, operationalized pricing or packaging changes into GTM systems (CPQ, approval flows, billing, reporting), and spent time close to sellers understanding territory disputes, compensation questions, and deal dynamics. You should be technical enough to review architecture and code, commercial enough to run a deal desk, and clear enough with executives to defend numbers and articulate what will break. Comfort operating in a fast-growing startup where you build the function while running it is essential. The role is based in San Francisco with hybrid work (3 days in-office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday expected). Occasional travel for team onsites and trainings may be required.
