Ripple is building financial infrastructure for a world where value moves like information. This Director of Product Planning role is a strategic operations position within the product organization, serving as the connective tissue between product strategy and execution.
You will own the end-to-end product planning process, converting strategic priorities into a resourced, sequenced roadmap across product lines. This is not a feature ownership role—instead, you guide the process that aligns and prioritizes all product leaders' roadmaps, facilitate tradeoff discussions among product leaders, and surface conflicts and dependencies before they become blockers. You keep the roadmap current and credible as priorities shift, ensuring changes are communicated clearly to collaborators.
You will build and manage the product organization's operating rhythm, including planning cycles, launch readiness reviews, cross-team syncs, and retrospectives. You own the tooling and systems (Jira, Linear, Notion, etc.) that keep planning artifacts organized and trustworthy as a single source of truth. You identify and resolve cross-team dependencies and process gaps before they slow execution.
On the metrics and reporting side, you partner closely with the Data Science team, who build and maintain underlying metrics and dashboards. You own the reporting layer on top of the data—pulling the right numbers together, synthesizing their meaning, and packaging them into clear, recurring updates for product and company leadership. You translate data into recommendations and talking points, not just charts, to inform planning and prioritization decisions.
You also serve as a versatile resource for the Senior Director of Product Management, leading cross-organizational initiatives, coordinating process enhancements, or conducting ad hoc analyses. You represent the product organization's planning function in conversations with adjacent teams (engineering, build, legal/compliance, finance) as needed.
Ripple operates in a fast-paced, regulated, high-stakes industry. The company emphasizes in-office collaboration for moments that matter, with flexibility for teams to decide which 10+ days per month they come in.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in product operations, technical program management, chief-of-staff, or similar cross-functional planning role
- Strong track record running planning/prioritization processes across multiple teams or product lines
- Comfortable working with data and metrics; able to ask Data Science the right questions and turn their output into a story
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to synthesize complexity into something leadership can act on quickly
- Highly organized, low-ego, and energized by making other people's work easier and more coherent
- Experience leading or managing a team is a plus, though this role may start as an individual contributor
- Experience in a fast-paced, regulated, or high-stakes industry is a plus
