Clockworks Analytics, founded in 2008 within MIT's Building Science Department, is a leader in building analytics software that empowers smarter facilities management. The company is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations to lead the design and continuous optimization of the revenue engine, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
This is a strategic leadership role that combines vision-setting with technical architecture design. You will define the revenue operations strategy and roadmap in partnership with the CRO, own pipeline reporting, forecasting cadences, and revenue dashboards for executive and board visibility. You will align Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance on shared definitions of leads, pipeline stages, and revenue metrics. Your analytical work will identify bottlenecks and conversion gaps across the full revenue funnel, driving cross-functional changes to address inefficiencies. You will lead territory planning, quota setting, and compensation modeling, and deliver regular insights on pipeline health, conversion rates, win/loss trends, and forecast accuracy.
On the architecture side, you will own the GTM technology stack strategy and roadmap, determining which tools are used, how they integrate, and the direction of the stack. You will design the end-to-end architecture for how leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities flow across Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and ZoomInfo from first touch through closed-won and handoff to Customer Success. You will define sync and integration models, set data governance standards, and design lead scoring, routing, and attribution models. You will evaluate and select new GTM tools, manage vendor relationships and renewals, and translate your architecture into a prioritized build roadmap for the GTM Engineer to execute against.
This role works in partnership with a dedicated GTM Engineer who executes the technical builds against your strategic roadmap. Together, you form a complete RevOps function: you own strategy and architecture; the engineer owns implementation.
Within the first 6–12 months, success looks like: a documented target architecture and data-flow map for the entire GTM stack with a prioritized build roadmap in execution; a single source of truth for pipeline and forecast reporting trusted by the CRO and board; shared funnel definitions and stage criteria adopted across Sales, Marketing, and CS; measurable improvement in forecast accuracy and funnel conversion; and a working operating rhythm with the GTM Engineer with clear ownership boundaries.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or GTM strategy, including experience leading the function or owning it end-to-end
- Proven track record designing multi-tool GTM architectures (CRM, marketing automation, enrichment, and revenue intelligence working as one system)
- Deep working knowledge of Salesforce (admin-level understanding of objects, automation, and integration patterns) — enough to architect and review
- Experience with HubSpot, Gong, ZoomInfo, or directly comparable platforms
- Strong analytical skills: forecasting models, funnel analytics, and comfort working with revenue data at board-reporting quality
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional change across Sales, Marketing, CS, and Finance — influencing without direct authority
- Experience directing technical resources (in-house or contract) against an architecture and roadmap
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in B2B SaaS at a similar stage of growth
- Familiarity with the built environment, facilities management, or PropTech
- Background in sales compensation design, territory modeling, or GTM planning
