Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, seeks a Director of Growth Operations to build and lead the operational backbone of its Growth organization. This role owns and scales teams and processes supporting business development and capture activities: Partner Management, Proposal Management, Technical Writing, BD Analytics & Research, and Pricing. You will report to the Senior Vice President of Growth and work closely with Business Development, Mission Architecture, Mission Innovation, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Legal. This is a player-coach role: you will manage and develop a multidisciplinary team while rolling up your sleeves on high-priority activities, designing scalable processes and systems to enable repeatable operations. Key responsibilities include leading and managing the multidisciplinary team; owning end-to-end proposal operations (schedules, compliance, resourcing, quality); leading the Partner Management function to identify and manage strategic partnerships; overseeing the Pricing function during initial stand-up, including price-to-win development; building and maturing BD Analytics & Research capability with market intelligence and competitive analysis; directing Proposal Management and Technical Writing to ensure consistent, high-quality, compliant content; designing scalable systems, tools, and playbooks (CRM hygiene, proposal templates, knowledge management); partnering cross-functionally to keep operations aligned; establishing metrics and reporting for team performance and proposal win rates; and mentoring and developing direct reports as the Growth organization scales. Required: 10+ years in business operations, proposal management, or related BD support functions, ideally in aerospace, defense, or space; demonstrated experience building and managing multidisciplinary teams; experience with pricing or price-to-win processes and cross-functional coordination with Finance; strong process-design and program management skills with a track record of scaling operations in fast-growing organizations; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a dynamic environment. Desired: experience in space or satellite industry; experience managing partners or teaming relationships in capture or BD context; experience with CRM and proposal management tools (e.g., HubSpot); active or recent U.S. Government security clearance; Master's degree in a related field.
