Oula Health is a tech-enabled maternity care provider redesigning pregnancy care from the ground up. Founded in 2021, Oula operates multiple clinics across the tri-state area (New York, Connecticut, North Carolina) with plans to expand further. The company combines obstetrics and midwifery care with a remote care platform to deliver evidence-based, personalized pregnancy experiences.
As Director of Clinic Operations, you will lead clinic operations across multiple markets in the tri-state area, reporting to the VP of Market Operations. This is a manager-of-managers role with responsibility for onboarding, training, managing, and developing clinic managers across assigned markets.
Key responsibilities include:
Frontline Leadership: Manage clinic managers and ensure they develop their teams through robust 1:1s and development plans. Drive organizational vision, mission, values, and DEI commitments across all markets. Serve as the communication bridge between your teams and the broader organization. Maintain regular on-site presence in assigned markets with periodic travel to new and existing locations.
Operations Management: Own all aspects of day-to-day clinical operations including service line performance, staffing, clinic operations, inventory management, and patient experience. Drive market success by achieving key metrics around team engagement, patient experience, access, capacity, and financial sustainability. Create work schedules, clinic monthly schedules, and clinician on-call schedules in collaboration with clinical leadership. Drive adoption of Oula's operating model across markets, ensuring consistent implementation of meeting structures, management routines, performance reviews, and operational processes. Facilitate rollouts of new policies and procedures. Partner with the VP of Market Operations and central teams on process optimization. Manage vendor relationships with labs, clinical suppliers, pharmacies, and vaccine suppliers.

You are creative in identifying issues and developing solutions, willing to run experiments with your team. You are a doer who can turn feedback into action and roll up your sleeves when needed. You are empathetic and emotionally attuned to patient and team member needs.
The role is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week on-site at WeWork or Oula clinics in the tri-state area, with flexibility to work remotely as needed. You must be based in New York.
